Barbara Cox
RDH
Barbara is our Hygienist (RDH) and has been with Dr. Idriss for over 20 years. She is a licensed hygienist in the state of Texas, graduated from Midwestern State University in 1987. During her college years, she was part of the Gama Phi beta Sorority. She has been in practice for 35 years. Our patients love Barbara as she has been with the practice for a very long time. She is extremely patient, kind and attentive to their needs. She loves to talk, educate and make the patient comfortable during their visit.
She moved from Dallas to Houston in 1991 after marrying her husband. She has 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy. She also has a dog ( Bentley) and several cats. On her days off she loves to cook and spend time with her family. She loves to cook and experiment with different cuisines.
Cheryl Susan Alan
Patient Coordinator & RDA
Cheryl is our Office Manager and Patient Coordinator (RDA). She has been with the team since 2011. She is also a graduated dentist from her birth country, India. She graduated from Vinayaka Missions University as a Dentist in 2008. She moved to Houston in 2009 with her parents and has been a Houstonian ever since. She is married to her husband of over 11 years and has 1 son. She came to our practice in 2011, started as Dr. Idriss’ restorative and surgical assistant and then in 2017 promoted to the position of Office Manager and Patient Coordinator. When you reach Cheryl, rest assured that all our concerns and questions will be taken care of in a very professional and timely manner. She is extremely knowledgeable of the entire practice daily operations and is the person to reach out if you have any concerns.
On her days off, Cheryl loves to spend her time with her family. She loves to keep herself occupied by involving in home improvement projects, painting, planting, reading etc. She loves goal setting and completing different projects on the weekends. She loves to meal prep and cooks elaborate meals for her family.
Sandra Rios
RDA
Sandra is our Restorative Dental assistant (RDA). Sandra has been with our team since 2013. She is also a graduated dentist from her birth country, Nicaragua. She graduated from UNAN LEON University as a dentist in 1996. She served her community as a practicing dentist in Nicaragua for 2 years before moving to Houston alongside her husband of over 23 years in 2006. Sandra can be called in our office as the epitome of energy, cheerfulness and laughter. Always ready to help our patients feel comfortable and relaxed in our office. She is the right hand of Dr. Idriss during all restorative procedures. She is also Bi-lingual and loves to talk and entertain.
On her days off, Sandra loves to be around her 4 fur babies (Sam, sassy, Pinky and Snoopy) and take them for long walks. She loves to cook and experiment with different international cuisines. She loves to talk and interact and keeps herself busy catching up with her 11 siblings during the weekend.
Jennifer Lopez
Patient Coordinator
Jennifer is our own famous celebrity in the office due to her famous name. She is our Insurance and Patient Coordinator. She is the newest member to our family and an excellent addition to our stellar team. You will always have a friendly voice assisting you when you reach Jennifer who is also bi-lingual. She is a native Houstonian. She graduated from Westfield High school. She has been married for over 19 years and has a son and a granddaughter. She also has a fur baby/puppy (Nala).
During her free time she loves to cook, exercise and watch all sporting events. Her passion is in photography and going for long walks enjoying the great outdoors.
Juana
Juana is our Surgical Dental assistant( RDA). Juana has been with our practice since 2017. She is also a graduated dentist from Mexico ( Class of 1992). With Juana, our patients always feel like they are in excellent hands. She is extremely thorough with any procedure while assisting Dr.Idriss during all surgical procedures and at the same time compassionate and extremely gentle. She worked in Mexico for over 3 years after graduation and then moved to Houston where she currently resides with her Husband of over 20 years. She has a daughter who is a star softball pitcher and plays for Texas Lutheran University. She also loves animals and has 2 cats (Callie and Cleo) and 1 dog (Cheerio).
During her free time, Juana loves to enjoy the outdoors and go for long walks with her dog. She is passionate about a healthy lifestyle and loves to cook and eat mostly vegetarian dishes. She is a fantastic piano player and loves to play piano on the weekends.
